Not sure. It's been a while since I worked with all of this but it sounds like you'll be running slow. I'd try to get a 12 tooth cc if I were you and decrease the spool size a bit. (again, I'm a little rusty at all of this. can anyone confirm?)

if you take the governor out you should have plenty of speed, up to 30 mph. i think you might be a little low on torque though. i.e. no deep water starts... if you drop down to a 12 tooth and take out the governor you can run at 25 mph with plenty of torque. but, in my trials, everything is different for every motor and spool. i'll PM you my gearing spreadsheet - if you know excel you can play around with it to see how different things affect torque and speed... _________________

Just thought id update, ending up going with a 16 tooth and a 96 tooth to get my 6:1 ratio, winch has alot of speed and nearly enough torque to deep water start but not quite. Have just bought a TAV (Finally!) So once that arrives I will machine on a new sprocket onto it so it matches the chain's pitch I use as I cannot get american chain here or sprockets.
Will try machine a 12 tooth on the Tav2 and put on my old 72 tooth sprocket on the axle. This setup should work sweet as with about a 6" spool diameter? correct? Here is a picture of my winch.
Thanks! Currently am doing a major overhaul on the winch, am buying a tav2 and am going to replace the brake lever throttle with a twist throttle mounted onto the frame. (I found the brake lever is either no throttle or full throttle although the cc is partially to blame.) Then I plan to get some amsteel rope when funds allow!. Also I have to replace all the spool bolts with something stronger as I bent my 16mm ones. The winch spot I use is a man made lake and is solar heated so it stays relatively warm all year round. Here is a quick video a mate put together after our last winch.

Long story hah, friend had no idea about winching and heard me mention it, little did he know it was an actual winch company until after he had made and upped the vid.
