Haha I'm just trying to gain some weight. I can still touch my spine through my stomach, and I'm pretty sure that's bad.

i've been doing a modified version of the wakeworld "wakeboard work out" it's a good work out. just have to replace the squats with a hack squat or leg press machine.

Why are you replacing squats?

I just started at the gym again for the first time in about a year. I gained 30 pounds since I got my new job and moved to St. Pete so i figured it was time to get back in shape, haha.

replacing squats because they are the easiest way to herniate a disc. i hope everyone practices lifting intelligently. you can herniate a disc leaning over to pick up a 30lb dumb bell. legs, not back. after being about 20lbs overweight for close to a year it feels so good to leave the gym nice and sweaty with a feeling of accomplishment. LL cool J said it best. "It's a good feeling to get out of the shower and like what you see." not to mention it makes it tougher to get hurt riding and all the other good stuff.

kid, you should lift 3 sets of whatever you do 12-15 times. get some useful muscle and remember to stretch. speaking of stretching, i bet most of you didn't know that static stretching is bad for you before you do something physical. static is the normal stretches everyone does. it wears your muscles out. dynamic is where it's at before you ride.

That's all I've been doing, 3 reps of 15.

I'll find some old pics of when I was REALLY skinny.

i saw one of the female olympic skiers or somebody do a running front flip off a mini tramp and land on a ball. it was sick. also, dont forget to switch your routine after each month. don't let your muscles get used to stuff. build good foundation with light weight lots of reps and then switch to 8-10 reps. and do more weight. month after switch to more reps and do diff. work outs or machines. just keep things changing.

I just got back from the gym. I looooove working out on friday nights after work. No one is there and it makes me just feel better before I go out. Once it warms up I am pumped to start riding my bike and running more.
