I *really* like the idea of wakeskating but having a tight budget, I wonder if buying a skimboard and using it for skimboarding and wakesurfing would be a better investment for the future as I am not dependent on a boat etc.
Being new to any of these sports, however, I really am unsure about the skimboard size I'd need. Obviously it should be suitable for beginners but be good in the wake behind a boat as I will have the possibility of being pulled by a boat this summer (hence the thought about buying a wakeskate but as I said, I'd always be dependent on something that pulls me and with a skimboard I can just run into the waves, and I can't afford both atm).
I am 5'4" and weigh about 110 lbs. Could I get a board that'd be suitable for skimming and wakesurfing? Any suggestions as to the size, shape and material?
