im flying out to AZ in early march and i was just curious if anybody has traveled with a skate, whats the best way to go about it?

i want to carry it on, but i think its too big.
i dont want to check it because it could get lost.
shipping it UPS, FedEx, etc a week in advance is also an option.

any ideas or info is appreciated bitches.

TWG: that would be ideal
yookyle: i would highly prefer to carry it on because lots of people would die if my wakeskate got damaged/lost/misplaced Twisted Evil ... im flyin into tucson march 4th & ill be at lake apache with some family & friends march 6-9
TYLER**: Shocked i dont want stickers or dirty little baggage handler fingers on my deck!

btw my flight is on delta/nw airlines if that makes a difference. the specs on their website for carry ons are kinda confusing.

TWG, they most definitely DON'T allow skates as carry ons. You'll need to check it below.

I hope it isn't any different on international flights! I need to get mine to the UK with me when I go, but I don't want to have to pay an a$$load of money to do it.

if you check it, when they ask what it is tell them it's a boogie board. don't say wakeboard or wakeskate. eliminates extra $$ charges

I've seen people carry on skateboards so wakeskates probably won't be a big deal.

I always check it in a board bag and try to pack it so it doesn't break!
