Miller, I've always thought the board looked similar to the swing (that was people's initial reaction on here when the auction listing was first posted). The boards are similar, yet different. Ultimately, it's hard to say. With everything that's going on graphically, that board should pre-date kampus by a number of years. However, I know thomas worked with duane when those dudes were a part of mutiny (and I think duane kind of helped to hook up the DVS deal). Some day I'll find out what the story is. I guess in my mind, cassette testing out that board shape always made sense to me because of the skateboarding influence, and possibly scott jobe (but that's just my mind at work).
CGA PFD, the cassette lady was just this professional ebayer who was selling boards for this manufacturer. They had a bunch of old cassettes and I think at one point they were supposed to be re-surfaced or something like that. I'm not sure at what point they fit into cassette's history, but I assume early on. I don't know if this factory had anything to do with media skateboards or not, but the boards they had were on the earlier end of things, obviously with the round cassette and then a couple of boombox versions, and then with all of the test color ways they had from the 01 line. A few years ago that factory actually blew up, thereby sending cassette wakeskate values sky high. hahahaha...just kidding.

the cassette lady she bought all of the boards the manufacturer had stacked up. it was cheaper to make new boards w/ new graphics than try to sand and re-screen graphics on them.. so they sold them all off.. some of them had sand marks where they had screwed around w/ trying.. but gave up. it was a long time ago.. so i don't remember the details of the conversation, but she had a bunch of the boards, all sizes, colors of the same graphic etc.. i.e. i have 2 micro cassettes identical, but one is red, one is blue. the round deck is different from the swing i have on a few different aspects, the cassette is flat, top and bottom, the swing has concave and has a "bevel" on the bottom. the cassette lady sent me an email later on a fire at the manufacturer's where the boards came from.
of the few boards i have ever parted with, the two boards i have been happiest with, the round one for your collection esnow and the 46'' to letchworth. i couldn't believe he didn't have one of his own boards.. and i happen to have one that had never even been gripped...

it's not flat. the bottom of the board sitting on the floor has an gap on either side from teh "bevel" the top seems to have some concave, it is not anything like boards today.. and may have been a oversite on my part due to the bevel.. it's on the wall, so i will have to pull it down and look now..

thanks for filling in the gaps, warlock!
Yeah, I don't know if I'd call the swing a full-on concave wakeskate, but part of the base presses out...it's not completely flat.

Nice! Congrats!
And I figured it was either brett or raven. It had to be one of them because of the cassette logo and the jersey plates.
