i have a cheap ski boat which isnt bad but i have riden behind a sea-doo jet boat and i liked it much better. the speed control was hard but the wake was perfect for skatin, at least i thougt so. it makes me think that the seadoo x-20 would make a nice boat for wakeskating.

When it is choppy, it is impossible to ride behind a jet ski, doesn't break up the chop.

Yeah, I know what you mean.
The Air Nautique's wake is perfect WITHOUT ballast.

But I ride with wakeboarders (no wakeskater here) and these guys put a lot-lot-lot of extra weight in the boat.

That's not a problem? Yes, it is, cause they ride at 34 km/h and I like to ride at 30 km/h max.. So, when I ride, the wake is white...

who's boat is it paul, if its you boat it seems like you could choose how it was weighted
I have a sea ray i/o, haven't skated behind it yet(only on cables) but its alright for wakeboarding, the wake is just below my knee (i'm 6 foot) and its sometimes washy but you can clean it up by speeding up or messing with the trim. I need some weight
