my camera and computer are not recognizing each other via firewire and i dont know what the problem is.

my camera says "dv in" on the monetor when the firewire is hooked up, but the computer won't make the "noise" to show that its connected.

also, i'm pretty sure its my camera because i've tried my friends camera with my computer and it works fine

any help would be appreciated Smile

oh here's another problem that i'm having with my camera, when something moves fast in front of the lens, it glitches and the audio cuts out for a second

for example, my camera is fine sitting on the ground filming stationary objects, but when you do a kickflip in front of the camera, it glitches and looks like crap

What type of camera should I get to for camera classes? I'm looking to start college and get a degree in photography. I have previous experience in a studio setting. I need something that doesn't cost to much but is a good starter camera and of course I want it to be digital.

verankey, you want a still camera? or a video camera?

if you're talking about video i'd say get a gl1 or Panasonic dvx
