DVD is all about zoning. NTSC on a DVD is only an issue if your TELEVISION is not NTSC enabled, ie can't go from 50 to 60hz. Pretty much all tvs these days are NTSC capable. Therefore if you have an ALL ZONE/MULTIZONE DVD player you should be fine.
Computer monitors don't usually have a problem with a change in refresh rates, and most newer monitors can refresh up to at least 75hz.
If you only have a zone 2 (european zone) enabled DVD player/DVD rom then you will not be able to view the DVD.
If you have a multizone DVD player but not an NTSC capable tv then you will be able to watch the DVD but it will be in black and white.
Hope this helped rather than confused. |

If Snap is a Zone 1 DVD (US zone) and you are in Europe and it worked fine, then Sfumato SHOULD be absolutely fine. |

i guess snap vid is zone zero (they claim it at bumpfilms website) so there shouldnt be any problem worldwide. but i havent found any notice on sfumato zone number. solution is simple: i will buy it and i will see (or will not).
hey paul, where are you from? |

I am doubtful as to whether it will play on your computer...most dvdroms are still zoned, whereas most new DVD players are multizone...check it out first. |

Mr. Skalski:
I've sent an e-mail to the Sfumato team this afternoon (sfumatomovie@yahoo.com)
But I heard that their replies are not very quick...
Anyway, I'll tell you ASAP. |

mr.skalski,
I think Cassette51 doesn't understand the DVD Zones. Your english is great. |

mr.skalski:
Oh, nice, the Sfumato team's assistant is under pressure now...
Here, we have 20 degrees (air) / 17 degrees (water). So the season isn't finished yet, but i'm done: wakeskating the whole season with wakeboarders looking down on you... that's not cool...
BTW: I also have to improve my english... |

SfumatoMovie.com sent me this mail today:
"I'm pretty sure that they are the same and that it will work.
Thanks Paul."

Oh, yeah, the question I sent them was:
"I have Snap - which is "0 NTSC" - and my player can read it.
Will it work with Sfumato too?" |
