i really want to build a floating rail, but i dont know what the minimum is to keep it floating. i have a bunch of tubes i could use to float it would they work? thanks

It works best to get some 55 gallon plastic barrels from your local car wash. They are almost happy to get rid of them. Fill the drums half way up with water for flotation and stability and build a frame around them.
