<3 google
The amazing blue water is caused by "rock flour" from glacial melt...it is so fine it remains suspended in the water column and changes the reflectivity of the water.

Do you have any info about this place? |
Moraine Lake is in Banff National Park (pronounced /ˈbæmf/) is Canada's oldest national park, established in 1885 in the Rocky Mountains. The park, located 110-180 kilometres (70-110 mi) west of Calgary in the province of Alberta, encompasses 6,641 square kilometres (2,564 sq mi)[1] of mountainous terrain, with numerous glaciers and ice fields, dense coniferous forest, and alpine landscapes. The Icefields Parkway extends from Lake Louise, connecting to Jasper National Park in the north. Provincial forests and Yoho National Park are neighbours to the west, while Kootenay National Park is located to the south and Kananaskis Country to the southeast. The main commercial centre of the park is the town of Banff, in the Bow River valley.

WOW jealousy!
Please tell me how amazing it is
Oh thanks for saying something about the wrong spelling of the title. I managed to rearrange the letters in the subject of this thread originally, thanks to my mousepad on my laptop and didn't even notice... I corrected the spelling

| I took a seaplane up to a lake like that of melted snow in the mountains of Alaska. It was about 60 degree water in July.

EJazzle, a real good friend of mine lives in anchorage, but the company he works for has lodges spread throughout the whole state. its soooo sick to go visit cuz room and board is taken care of all over the state. that bear pic was taken where the russian and kenai rivers intersect. it was down a little from that park where the little ferry takes you across to fish. we were in an inflatable raft. she climbed that fence and went up into the RV park.
my homeboy doesn't even fish anymore. he goes down to seward and nets sockeye salmon. he smokes and cans them now. there's so much stuff to do in that state when it thaws.
if there is 60 degrees lakes there... i'm gonna go up there and shred one of these days!
sorry for the hijack
