It would be one thing if it were just a few "kooks" screaming conspiracy but there is quite a large population of experts and professionals (architectural, aviation, demolition, etc.) demanding an explanation for some of these weird things. There should definitely be a deep investigation by a 3rd party no matter which side you are taking. thanks Red |

LemonWake, So when Hitler burned down the Reichstag (his own govt building) and blamed it on the communists (terrorists), passed the enabling act (patriot act) That was a good thing right?
And anyone who disagreed with his party was considered "disloyal" to Germany.
Have I drawn enough parallels?
Patriotism is more closely linked to dissent than it is to conformity and a blind desire for safety and security. _________________ El Tiburón Rojo |

Nice Ron Paul quote. http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul388.html
Back to the topic, I agree it seemed like fishy business from the start but proving any of it is extremely difficult and I don't think we will ever know. Consider the desperate desire of the Bush Administration to get into Iraq for many reasons; Oil, Sadaam removal. It certainly could explain why we quickly transistioned from the Al Qaeda hunt to the Sadaam hunt.
More conspiracy info: http://911research.wtc7.net/mirrors/guardian2/wtc/how-hot.htm
It's especially interesting to me that bin Laden continued to deny his involvement in the 2001 Twin Tower / Pentagon attacks all the way up until 2004, days before the Bush Presidential elections.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has stated that evidence linking Al-Qaeda and bin Laden to the attacks of September 11 is clear and irrefutable.[85] The Government of the United Kingdom reached the same conclusion regarding Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden's culpability for the September 11, 2001, attacks.[86] Bin Laden initially denied involvement in the September 11, 2001 attacks. On 16 September 2001, bin Laden read a statement later broadcast by Qatar's Al Jazeera satellite channel denying responsibility for the attack.[87]
In a videotape recovered by US forces in November 2001 in Jalalabad, bin Laden was seen discussing the attack with Khaled al-Harbi in a way that indicates foreknowledge.[88] The tape was broadcast on various news networks on 13 December 2001. The merits of this translation have been disputed. Arabist Dr. Abdel El M. Husseini stated: "This translation is very problematic. At the most important places where it is held to prove the guilt of bin Laden, it is not identical with the Arabic."[89]
In the 2004 Osama bin Laden video, bin Laden abandoned his denials without retracting past statements. In it he stated he had personally directed the nineteen hijackers.[81][90] In the 18-minute tape, played on Al-Jazeera, four days before the American presidential election, bin Laden accused U.S. President George W. Bush of negligence on the hijacking of the planes on September 11. _________________ chance favors the prepared mind |

I like how the guy in the first video approached it. He wasn't accusing anybody or getting all worked up about it. When someone starts arguing about conspiracy theories and placing blame and presenting some questionable things as "facts," i have a lot of trouble taking them seriously. However i like how all he wanted was further investigation and laid out facts based on his own knowledge.
To be honest, whether it was the government, or terrorists, or both.. it happened. And it was tragic, and is still having a massive impact on many people. But the blame game is a waste of time. We're in a "war" we shouldn't be in, and what i think is safe to label a recession. That's what needs focus. _________________ - Evan Molina |

RedShred14, your drawing parallels to a different age. A much less informed and dictorial age. Bottomline, im not disagreeing with you, im not saying it couldnt have happened, but with the status quo, its a hate of america to believe wholeheartedly in our governments involvement. To me the evidence that the terrorists brought down that WTC is much MUCH greater than any evidence of a conspiracy. Thats my logic.
Either way its a sad event in our nations history. My dad was in the WTC bombing back in 93 when i was only a few months old. Luckily he survived, it would have been tragic, losing someone that way would be unbearable. _________________ "Wakeskating is...not fun. Honestly there is a ton of shizzle the general public don't know about and never will. It's not worth getting too worked up over. |

So we should blindly follow our government like sheep? the bottom line is that 99% of the people dont WANT to believe its possible because its frickin scary. if you dont think that our government is capable of it then you are naive. It is your right and duty to question so that we can remain free the way we are. how much freedom are you willing to give up for "security"? |
