|
I just got to Phoenix again for my 2nd year of college. First year I was too busy with sports and school and all of that crap to get into the wakeskating scene here. Anyways, does anyone know anything about the scene here?
Where to ride, forums to join for AZ/Phoenix, comps coming, demos coming, anything that will help me out. Anything that will help me get into the scene better here would be great.
More general, how did you get into the scene, and advice for me. Thanks everyone! |

That is why I left a copy in General Wakeskating. I was trying to help you out by having it in both forums. |

if you ask me, there should be a bigger scene here than there is. it's one of the hottest places in america year around. we're in the freakin desert! maybe thats why though, but still....there's lakes still! lol.
gregg, no worries. _________________ :colorless: -> http://falic.parsethis.net <- |

Lake pleasent sucks all those other places are gay also. jk But seriously the the best place to ride is lake havasu we have a bunch of rails up here. also joey white lives in phoenix and he kills it on a skate.. i would say to check out the az wake devils sight and talk to them but for the most part those guys are tools. if you want to do contest then check out the arizona wakeboard assoc.. web sight. do you only wake skate if so pm me and im sure i can get you out with us its still hot out here and we ride almost every day. were also working on a little vid with jeff engen, brandon livermore, brian francis, and nate koch let me know whats up |

I ride at Pleasant about once a week. (in fact Im going out in about 30 minutes) There is still some good late afternoon water to be found if the wind doesn't kick up. We ride behind my brothers 95 Sea Ray with a tower and 600# in the locker. It throws a decent wake. Just be warned though, we are not very good. Hit me up if you want to go out sometime. |
