I have a rail that i made that is pretty big cus its also gonna be a floating dock that I'm gonna chill on. I want to cover it but i have heard that trex costs alot and im not trying to buy anything like that. I was hoping there was a paint that could cover the wood and make it have a slide like trex. Please list paints and prices if you know of anything that could cover it thats cheap.

To bring back some sincerity and seriousness here; Yes, it would be cool to have a floating dock with something on the side to jib. No, paint would not be a good alternative to Trex or a similar substance. You really could just straight up slide the wood but that has always splintered for me. Just get like 2 or 3 planks of Trex and put them on one side of the floating box/dock you have just side by side and you can just hit that one side and use the rest for chilling and for sick camera angles.

trex isn't too expensive for what you get. it's worth it.
