| what is the smallest possible motor that will give a decent pull behind a jon boat, around 12 ftr. |

| yeah i figured prob at last 20... i was hoping a 15 cuz i can get one for free. a 15 seems to be quick enough but im not sure if it will be while pulling someone. i guess there is really only one way to find out. |

Breeeeett,
If the 15 is running strong it might work. We used to ride with a 15 and we'd have to really work for like 2 minutes to get up. Just depends on the motor. _________________ wake____ing=love/life |

25 is the magic # but you might get away with the 15 being it's a smaller boat, keep it to a rider and driver and put your gas tank in the middle or up front and you might get away with it.  |

| 15 should will work if you get a tiny aluminum boat and dockstart lighter the setup the better. |

Fryguy, thats what i was thinking that it might not be enough for a deep water start, but its good to hear a dock start should work... now im pumped to try it  |

| ive ridden behind a flatback canoe with a 9.5 anything is possible, so just make the best of it, a little aluminum pond cruisers can be found cheep. back in high school a buddy of mine had a 10-12ft aluminum jon we use to put it in the back of my truck. with the tailgate down it fit pirfect, no trailer no bulljive, easy to lift for 2 people. |
