There are a lot of kooks who have these, I agree. I used to think that it was a lame sport, but after trying it at Nekkie's i found a new respect for it.

We stayed a couple of days at one of OG's friend's houses in Teahupoo who is a SUP surfer.. He Sups some heavvvvy stuff. If I lived closer to the ocean I'd have one so I could get out there on days when its too small to surf.

stompin9s, Yeah I agree. I've almost been run over by a couple of SUPs.

I heard on the down the line up podcast that some county was going to classify them as Kayaks. Which would mean they have to stay away from swimming area's, surfers, and would need CF numbers on them (boat registration) haha.

i mean i understand how they would piss people off, but it shouldn't be the boards that are hated, it should be the person. if someone is kook enough to run through a crowded line up with a SUP board, then that's their problem. i wouldn't bring mine out into a crowded line up on a good day at like jax beach or vilano or something. if i was planning on surfing it, it would be on extremely small days, and most of the time (where i ride at least), people aren't out on those days anyway.
