No i have not, but would be amazing>>not so much as in getting the wakeboarders off, dont mind them, but to get the freakin knee boaders!! the little kids riding that get in the way. When i went to TSR this summer i about took this little kids head off around the first turn...he was like 7 and i didnt see him till late then i cut outside and he started swimming the same way i was cutting then i had to cut back very fast and somehow caught an edge and went head over heals! i was sooo freakin mad and jsut yelled FU*KKK!! then i looked up and his mom was standing right there waiting for him to get out, hahaha its funny now but at the time i was very steamed b\c the line to ride was pretty long....... |

I say that is false there are not enough wakeskaters to keep something like that going. |

absolutely not. Johnson city is TINY and the people that live there DO NOT KNOW what wakeskating is. Most of them have never even seen a wakeboard much less a wakeskate. There is no way this is true. Id say about as likely as a snowboard park opening there...... |

i cant imagine that a place like that could stay in business. but i hear that they are building a cable near dallas which would be nice... if they keep the 9 year old kneeboarders out |

i couldn't agree with you anymore. but for a cable park to stay in business they need to attract a large amount of costumers and a large part of that is tourism. at least with my cable park the majority of business is on the weekends with beginners and people who have never seen wakeboarding in there entire life. although i hate dealing with kneeboarders, skiers, and little kids who sit infront of the kickers and rails so i can't hit that obstacle on of my 3 laps, they pay the same amount of money as i do and i have to deal with that. the best example of separation that i have seen so far is at owc. although i am not the biggest fan of the cable they at least have segregated the riders to two different cables so the serious wakeboarders/wakeskaters can ride on one cable and the knee boarders, beginner wakeboarders, skiers , and slalom skiers so they can do there own thing with out complaining .
If i could draw up a perfect cable park it would have a majority of wakeskate friendly rails and a few tech rails for wakeboarders, john rurak, and ryan doyle
you should be seeing a lot more cable parks around the us in the next 3 years. i am really excited _________________ -andrew- |
