A few suggestions I was thinking about:

Hyperlite/LF/CWB etc section. People can discuss and review boards here

A news section, a newbie section, a more organized classifieds(One for boards, one for handles, one for jackets, etc), and a regional section (ex, california, nevada, arizona, etc) so people can hook up with local riders.

I'd also like to see the thing that says "click here to see your post" gone and it just send you back to your post.

Let me know what you think
Kyle

you think the site is at the best it could be right now?

Not to hate on the site, but it's one of the worst put together sites I use.

I think the company section would make stuff a whole lot easier when people are like is "x board" good.

I agree that there are other forums that are laid out better, but that's usually because there are so many users asking so many questions that it helps more to break thinks up. I don't personally think there's enough questions about HL or LF skates to justify splitting it off into its own forum. Integrity is really the only company that has enough of a following to merit its own forum, but everything is more or less kept to that 150+ page long thread.

I dunno, I think that it's fine the way it is. The more you break the forums up into different sections, the more chances there are of someone missing out on a thread that they might have otherwise contributed to if it was in general wake.

Gnarly Dancer 42, i dont know how it would get to cluttered, it would add more options on the main page.

scott a, If someone was looking for a certain subject, it would be much easier to find, because there aren't so broad of categories.

See how PbNation.com is laid out? I think it would help the site a ton.

empire88, PbNation has many many many times more users than we have here.

I personally think things get along pretty well, as the population increases, newer forums might be added, otherwise it just fragments and waters down the forum as a whole IMO.

I tend to agree with scott and dragon88. I think it's great that people like empire88 are trying to think of new ways to improve the forum. but going back to something scott said, by breaking things down too much, there's a good chance people are going to miss out on something.

The one thing I'm considering is the review forum. But it's something I'd start a poll for and see if people would actually use it first, or if they'd prefer to just keep their stuff in general wake. I think it's a good idea, but again, it comes down to people actually posting their stuff in that forum so it actually becomes useful.

a review section would not be bad so people wouldnt always have to post which board, shoes, rope, etc., and it would not clutter the general wake page for those who are happy with the gear they have

everything else would break it up too much leaving too much room to miss something

boards = http://www.wakeskating.com/board_guide/index.php
local riders = http://www.wakeskating.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=3
DRAGON88/electricsnow, agreed. not enough activity

I still think we should merge the photos section back into the general forum. Like its been said you miss out on posts when its so split up.

And for board reviews I think it should be added to the board guide instead of a forum. The site would just have to keep the board guide up to date.
