I bought my wakeskate(42' SST) for christmas last year, because strapping just wasn't for me and I didn't have a ton of money to spend on a boat. It's been too cold here in middle Tennessee to ride, and now that it's warming up, I'm wondering what order I should learn tricks in. Is it similar to skating with ollie and then ollie variations, then flip tricks? or different?
I'm really looking forward to skating and am "stoked".

Dude, good to hear your stoked to ride man. there really isnt a set way of learning tricks in order. ill tell you kinda my order but also i would suggest just doing alot of riding switch to get a nice base for some of your tricks, the more comfortable you can be on the board the more fun youll have and the better your tricks will be. Pretty much for me i kinda learned my tricks in this order.

riding normal and switch
carving/slayshing (thats really fun. dont forget that)
ollies
ollie fs 180
bs shuv
fs shuv
bs 180
bs 3 shuv
kickflip
fs bigspin
fs ollie 360s
etc.

hope this helps at all. make sure to try and play around on the lip of whatever wake your riding on and also remember to try and take any of these tricks inside out aswell or wake to wake.

have fun shredding!
Birthday

Thank you, that answered all my questions. It's starting to warm up so I'll make sure to have videos and pictures up for you to critique. Spearfishing season is approaching also, and if anyone is not familiar with it I highly suggest getting into it.

I've never boarded Ft. loudon, I usually go to Dale hollow, Center hill, or Cordell hull. But If I'm ever over that way I'll be sure to hit you up!

ANTS!, just learn tricks in whichever way they come to you man, ollies, shuvs, and 180s, all regular and switch would definitely be a good start though, mess around on the lip too

stoked your getting into wakeskating man, you'll love it, when you get your first shuv, you'll be hooked Very Happy

and spearfishing is awesome, one of my favorite things to do, post up what you get in the non wakeskating section brother
