How deep in the ground?

Just wondering how deep you guys are putting your rails into the ground? Is 2 feet plenty deep enough for one to stay sturdy if it will be 7 feet above the point where it is put in?

If your going 7 feet tall you probably want at least 3 feet in the ground. 3 is probably minimum you can go.

Alright. We're going to check the water level and see what we can do. The lake level is still down for winter, so we have to build this so that when it rises it'll still be above water
