making a winch need a good spool idea thats strong and will last and that will hold 600 ft of rope

For the sides I just cut 2 15" circles out of diamond plate steel then cut a 1 1/4" hole in the center of each side, drilled all the holes that I needed and then I used all thread and metal conduit for the inside of the spool
