Lollar, I wasn't saying you buying the $40 camera's was random. I'm making a statement about me missing being able to buy anything I want at anytime back when Paul and I were baaaaawlin. Now we're sorta ballin, but not enough to buy lots of stuff and still be responsible about our future.
Besides, years of buying stuff yielded a crapload of stuff we are still donating and selling hahaha. Literally just yesterday I took 13 (thirteen) computers and some monitors to seminole county waste management facility for recycling I still have some more monitors I couldn't fit in the car.
Anyone want a couple 21" flat screen (not flat panel) sony trinitron monitors?
You gotta pick them up, pm me lol _________________ chance favors the prepared mind |

well sure we're more driven now because of the economy and potential that anything could happen to our jobs, but we've been wanting to build a cash base for a while so we can start investing for retirement. I refuse to work my senior years because I was fiscally irresponsible right now when all I had to do was change a few small things, ya know?
None of this will matter when we're living on the St Johns River off the land though haha _________________ chance favors the prepared mind |

Lollar, Im 26 but I have had a retirement fund that I have been putting money into since I was 20. 100 bucks every month goes to it. Along with my 401k that I put about 75 bucks a month into. Not working when you get old FTW! _________________ http://www.wakeskateclips.com/ |

Lollar,
building up a 401k = $150/mo
building up an IRA = $200/mo
kids college fund = $200/mo
watching your 401k turn into a 201k over night = painful _________________

I have a good amount in my 401K, put a couple hundred in each paycheck for like 6 years now, however I lost around 4k this month so far (actually awesome compared to everyone else). It's dropped 20.8% year to date (thought I'm doing better than all my coworkers, one guy is down 48%!!!). It'll come back but I need more personal savings and not just retirement money that depends on the market.
