I got them awhile ago and i give them a big fat thumbs down. You may think different, but i dont like them at all. They were nothing magical when i was wakeskating, they took like 3 days to dry, and after one ride the color was faded like the shoe was 3 years old.i still prefer to wear my old pair of vans to wakeskate. just my two cents. haha. _________________ 407-212-7425 |

Who said they were magical?
Seriously though, to each his own. But the point of the dresdens was to have a light shoe (only the buywake shoe was actually made for wakeskating) that you could also rock out in. Obviously, they're still made of water absorbing fabrics, so you have to take care of them as needed (as you would with any shoe). I personally keep my shoes (non-dresdens, but all mesh none the less) on a dehumidifier and they're dry in a day. If you keep yours outside, weather will also depend on how they dry. But if it took three days for your dresdens to dry, I don't doubt that it would take as long (or longer) for your vans shoes to dry.
It stinks that you don't like yours, though. I've actually heard some pretty good things about those shoes. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

Same here. Those shoes are a disappointement for me.
The heel support really sucks because of the sole design (and no, I'm not a radiation mutant with deformed feet...).
The general foot support also sucks cause the mesh is not stiff enough. Plus, the mesh is very fragile.
That being said, I have to admit that they look cool. The ladies like them a lot, so I wear them when I go partying...

I like DVS, but I have holes in my mesh dredens. The leather milans or dresdens last the longest. They also seem to dry in the same time as the mesh dredens, but that could be just me.
You gotta squeeze the the tongue and the sides of the heels and get the water out, that will help ANY shoe dry faster. _________________ .:Wake UP Films:.

ya know, i actually really like that about the dresdens. i like the fact that they are soft and flexible because they are more comfortable (to me at least). _________________ facebook.com/TheLiquidPlayground

You guys are "hijacking" this thread with the drying issue. Are we housewifes complaining about drying time?
OK, the Dresdens dry pretty fast and its obvious that everone squeezes the tongue and every other parts that can be squeezed.
But the point of my post (and the one of Frye's initial post) was the riding feeling of those shoes.
scott a, it's all personal preference... I like to have like an armour around my feet because I broke my big toe last year.

well drying time is kind of important to me because its my only pair of shoes and i had to wear it to school the next day. i squeezed the tounge and every part that could get squeezed then held them both out the window for like 30 minutes when we were driving then i left them under the aircon all night. and the next morning when i went to school it was all squish squash and water splashed out and people stared. luckily it rained that day so i went and jumped in puddles and was like yea my shoes got wet from the puddles... but besides that now that i got my vans back i ride in them, and i still skate in them because i dont like the dresdens for skating (skateboarding) _________________ 407-212-7425 |

air conditioners wont help dry your shoes at all. think about it...you could leave your shoes in a blizzard to dry or next to a fire, which do you think will work faster? air conditioners cool down the air. you might want to think about investing in more than one pair of shoes. even if money is tight, Walmart makes dope velcro shoes. |

Actually, the length of time it took for the shoes to dry was discussed in the first thread, so nobody is hijacking the thread.
And as I said before, weather will play a factor in how your shoes will dry. We had a bit of a cold spell here (surprise, surprise) and my shoes didn't dry after two days of being outside, so... _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

Oh and by the way, I saw next spring's DVS's earlier today, they are going to have another couple lines that look like retro running shoes, kinda out there, kinda cool. _________________
