is there going to be a significant difference for someone who is just starting to do tricks who buys lets say a cassette bi-level in comparison to flat deck? the first time i rode, i rode a finless catalyst 112 and didnt have any problems with anything. i'd rather spend my money on something i can use for while and continue to progress on instead of having to buy new deck after new deck. whats everyone's thoughts on this?

Personally speaking, if you're a beginner that's interested in a bi-level, I'd wait for the reactions of others before I bought one. Kevin michael did a nice little write up on that board for wbm's site (dave had a link to it around here somewhere). Anyway, kevin said that it did ride differently and it took a little bit of getting used to, but he thought that tricks would be more consistent.

Anyway, like I said (to be redundant) if you're a beginner, I'd just wait for a bit because not many people know how it's going to ride.
