Fiberon and Trex are the same thing. I saw some new type of non-wood decking at Home Depot, and its brownish, but I think it might be more expensive.
Hey, wut happened to the good 'ol PVC days? I remember seeing Sea Doo ads that said something about "Pay for PVC." _________________ .:Wake UP Films:.

PVC is to much of a hassel and it breaks more easily than fiberon or trex. i built a kink rail out of PVC and it was tight until i hit it with a tube and tore it down... _________________ Go BIG or Go Fishing...

HDPE is the way to go. High Density Poly-urethane Epoxy. this stuffs like PVC on some HEAVY roids dude seriously. it will melt in temperatures in excess off 300° but you can take an axe to this stuff and will take several tries to make a noticeable mark. it will NEVER shatter or shrapnelize and its cheaper than PVC, which is hard to come by. its black in color and tubular in shape (like PVC). try it and i guarantee u will like the slide
this is the axe ----->

Not neccicarily, but fiberon and trek don't have much strucutural integrity, so you'll need some kind of supports to keep it feeling solid, probably the best way would be to build a square frame then put joists, or supports made outta 2x4s every ten to twelve inches, like framing a house, then ply over the top, and actually for a floating dock I would forgo the fiberon, and just lay PVC sheeting on top, BTW if you want it to last, get treated wood, it's more expensive, but it is somewhat waterproofed _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |
