80s Skate Punk

I dont know if any of you listen to 80s punk but thats what I rock out 2 most of the time. Free Beer, JFA, Black Flag, Los Olvidados, Reagan Youth, Adolescents, RKL, Verbal Abuse are just some of my favorites. It really doesnt have to be 80s punk but it has to be hard fast teeth grinding punk. And mostly 80s punk has that feel. Good punk to wakeskate too and rip it up on a skateboard in a pool session. not trying to be a dick, and I may be wrong about black flag but, adolescents are older than the 80s and Im pretty sure black flag is too and speaking of old punk check out Agent Orange classic punk, I also like TSOL, and old suicidal tendacies but kids of the black hole rules classic man

Yeah your a flick. Black flag formed in like 78-79 and the adolescents are 80s as it gets. They formed in 1981. Hell there even on VH1 I love the 80s.

calling someone a poser is pretty lame, at least with music. its just showing that you think youve reached some level of taste in music that others havent reached yet. i think punk is just plain annoying, it gets old...fast. i listen to some pop punk (well really only one band) so am i a poser? but i also listen to deathmetal, metalcore, rap, and several other genres. i dont know why some people try to confine themselves to one type of music. but then again i dont think ill ever understand the appeal of country music, or why it has its own station.

Social Unrest from the bay area... good old fashion punk (early 80's)... the kind that got spit on, stabed, and beaten... just cause they were being what they wanted to be... Now a days it's all fashion mall "WANT_TO_BE" Punk ... the kind that should be stabed, beaten, and spit on... lol

Hey I would just like to say I've never listened to any "pop dick chick bandanna blink found glory music", thats just for 13y/o girls who can't even fathom what the punk movement is(was), especially with out "like totally cute guys with tattoos and arm bands OMG Becky" wonder how sexy they'd think Duane Peters was LOL Laughing

thats why I've switched to underground hip hop, but even that is going south, I mean Atmosphere on MTV, and BEP on Nickolodeon WTF is the world coming to
next thing you know swollen members is going to do a track with P diddy, and Classifieds gonna make the beat for a freestyle fellowship collabo with Chingy, and Im gonna curl up in the fetal position and vomit on myself Crazy Eyes

i used to listen to music that i though was underground and stuff i thought most people didnt listen to. but now i just listen to whatever i like, whether its on the mtv2 rock countdown or just a local band with a fan base that could barely fill a classroom. so nowadays if someone asks me what music i listen to its a hard question to answer. its good to have a large selection of stuff you never get bored of.

kento911, im pretty sure all underground artist would like to make it big. They do not just release there video to MTV. Its all the "music" stations. and atmosphere is f*ckin awsome.

xboard32x, I know he is; has alway been, it just bothers me that the same 13 y/o that listens to blink, and the same guys that think Chingy is "soo tight" can now go buy an atmosphere cd (one I might add that is one of his worst not best, god loves ugly, and Lucy Ford beat it senseless) and try and bump it like they know whats up with his music, lets see them drive to 5 different record stores looking for a copy of Lucy Ford after my first one got stolen, I think when underground bands make money it's awesome thats why I support them, but it's a whole nother affair when the people who Atmosphere wrote "balance" about are trying to say "yeah were sooo down with ya buddy" and they come off sounding as gay/fake as that quote.

another example of that is Duane Peters and the Hunns on Fuel, that bothers me too, now every jack off under 15 w/a leather jacket is gonna stick a hunns patch between the Rancid and (not that I dislike them, but they are pretty trendy anymore) clockwork orange patches they got at hot topic, and go around acting like they have a clue who the fizzle Duane Peters is anyways, hell they'll probably have a U.S. bombs patch too and still not know
