Has anyone attempted to use any kind of metal for the surface of a rail. I had free access to a shizzle ton of metal framing tracks of various sizes so I threw a 15" by 20 ft box together (2 sections). We set it up yesterday and it was absolutely horrible. I think my board stuck in the first 4 ft and I managed to clear the remaining 16 ft and some face first through the air to a nice cozy landing in 6" of water. It might be great for blunts with metal fins... just curious if anyone else has tried anything similar. I def should have tested the material. Now I have 4 bomb ass rails that will have to sit around until it snows next season.

We tried wax. We talked some neighborhood kid into grabbing a candle from his house. It was definitely the wrong type of wax. It made the bad situation even worse. Check out a short flick i threw together to highlight our shiznackle day:

I might have to try some things with paint. Ideally trex is where it's at, but I hate dropping a couple hundered bucks everytime I want to make a legit rail. I need a Home Depot sponsorship. That would be nice.

We tried makin a flat bar thing outta metal and really really dodgy craftsmanship/the incline was attached by a peice of rope, so it would flip up as soon as anyone hit it. But its ok, its not like i was the first to hit it or anything and fell onto the piece of shizzle. That thing cut my hands up somethin good

I think it's the width issue. I bet the skinny rails with work fine. I hope...
