Thats sucks, I tore my ACL in September, October surgery, 6-9 months rehab before I can ride or snowboard. Just wondering what people consider blowing out their knee, seems to be thrown around a lot. Shaun Murray blew out his knee a few years ago, torn MCL, ACL, PCL and wrecked his meniscus. I think if you get major surgery its a blow out, I've hurt my knee before wakeboarding, but it only took a few weeks to heal, this time it was a little more serious.

stay strong and try to keep your head up. i am a little over two years out of surgery on my acl and there are always thoughts of it happening again, but if you dont keep your head up, it gets the best of you. how do you think parks feels? i bet you he will be back next year cuz wakeboarding/wakeskating is what he loves to do and if you do to, then there is no doubt that you will be back in it.
stay strong
chase

I fell off my bike like 2 years ago, tore a dirty great big hole in my knee, could see my knee cap and all the ligaments (Was pretty cool actually) and put like a dint in my actual knee cap. Got it stitched up with like 20somethin stitches and i rode a horse the next day, got all infected but yeah point being.... I have no point, Rehap shmeehab, the way top get over things is to just get out there and keep doing stuff, eventually the pain just becomes so great that u get used to it, and its alll good Razz
Well thats my aussie theory anyways, dont know if its true at all. Seems to work good enof for me :p

Andrew Masi, sucks man. i deal with a wrist, knee, and ankle problem everyday and it sucks cause i know how much better i could ride if i had the health/body i had 4 years ago. but it doesnt change the fact that i still have the time of my life wakeskating. even if it means i can just carve around...
good luck in the recover

Andrew Masi, totally understand how you feel bro. I lost my ACL twice and still feel dumb for blowing it out by getting on the water again too soon (I waited about 3 months).

Are you going to get it fixed though? I ride ok without my ACL but with a CTi2 brace on. That thing's a life-saver when it comes to front knee splits.

I tore my ACL, MCL and both Menisci in April of '06. Started wakeskating about 4 months after surgery with a store bought knee brace, then started wakeboarding after 9 months with a Don Joy brace. Still wear it when I ride.
