The new elite format for the Pro Tour has seemed to shake things up a bit as we are seeing some new riders on the podium this season. Steve Schoenhals wins his first every Pro Tour stop in Fr. Worth, TX.

There's more to Wakeskating than kickflips. _________________ MIDWEST PROGRESSION |

I don't think the elite format has anything to do with the changes. Brian Grubb is hurt and didn't ride well because of it. Byerly was there and was aggressive but didn't land his tricks and failed to qualify for the finals. Not sure about Thomas.
I think the difference this year is that some new riders have stepped up. The top pro wakeboarders can usually nail a trick 99% of the time. Not true with wakeskating, so the winner will be the one that manages to stick the best run. I'd guess that could be one of about 10 different riders, maybe more.
Joey, yeah a few kickflips were landed in qualifying. I didn't see finals though. Chase managed to slide over half of the A-frame in qualifying and it looked like he had a chance to pull it.
Oh and it was windy all weekend which didn't help of course. _________________ "A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out."
