Don't lose sight of why you Ride!

So after 3 long years, I totally wakeskated for the first time today! Let me give you a little background. I know it sounds dumb but wakeboarding got old after a while, then life happens, college, bills, work, blew out my knee a couple months back etc..
Then a couple months ago I was talking to a friend of mine the the other day and he was telling me about riding and how good he was getting, and this new video Esoteric. So i went out on a limb an bought Esoteric and I was stunned. I was floored how good everyone was getting and how much the sport was progressing. I was so stoked just from watching it.
Then our boat got fixed so I dusted off the old hyperlite skate the one from the jurassic age, braved the amoebas with my new hot green nose plugs, and some new skate shoes, and it was EPIC.

I could barely even get up, but I rode around the whole lake once without falling and was so stoked. I had forgotten why I started riding all those years ago. The lake was beautiful, the spray coming off the board was picturesque. I can't explain it but I hope I never lose sight of why I ride.
So my hope is that everyone on hear will never forget why they ride and thier first time. If you've lost sight of that you should totally reevaluate why your not having fun anymore.

Special thanks goes out to Narc-P and everyone that poured out thier heart and soul into Esoteric. Oh by the wat RLAND premeire was amazing. C-Way Crew (Jeff and Steve), by the way Steve is blowing up ya'll are gonna see alot of him in the future. Jeff blowing up too your pictures on here are amazing. Thanks to Everyone who posts on here, keeping the site amazing informative and entertaining. Also everyone who makes the sport of wakeskating what it is today. I'm excited for the future.

I <3 the picturesque spray my board puts out. I make sure to look at it my first run every set.

Thanks for the support guys! Much love for everyone on here. It's so funny the other day near the end of my set our rope broke twice, haha 3 years off will make you fat. Now i'm even more excited becuase I have an excuse to get a new rope. I can't wait to get back out my goal is to go twice around the lake without falling. Who knows I may go balls to the wall and try a one wake jump! That would be so sick if i landed it! Oh by the way i still am not sure how to correctly spell picturesque. Oh well haha.

So i was listening to that song that Johnny Cash sings HURT about regret, what a heavy song.

The more I listened to it last night the more I realized why wakeskating is so cool. It's because it represents core value things that are important to us. Things that make life worth living. Such as Family and Friends and spending quality time with them. It's a break from this crazy rat race money based society we live in, where we can go out and be ourselves and have fun.

You know how many people in this life never get to do that? They are so caught up in this life that they forgot what life is all about. Somewhere in thier life somehow thier dreams got trampled and they got discouraged and they gave up. They got swept away.

Thats why yesterday was so crazy, something as simple as wakeskating again reminded me about what really matters in life, and that we have to hold on to that. It's a fight for sure but one worth fighting for till the end.

So here's to fighting for your dreams and what truly matters in life. Here's to the troops that our risking thier lives so that we can wakeskate(how lucky we are), and those that gave thier lives so that we could live ours. Heres to our dreams may they NEVER Die.

T4, you should do motivational speeches before every wakeskate event. while we all hold hands sitting on our skates in a big circle. the force is strong within you my young padawan. one wake ollies will come, use the force.
