hey guys,

I'm a little confused about ollies on a wakeskate. Now, I know in skateboarding, that you really have to slide that front foot forward and the friction from that is what pulls it in the air. Do you have to do that with a wakeskate? or does the water just kind of launch you when you leap off your rear foot?

push down on ur back foot really hard and all ur front foot really does is keeps u over the board which is really important but the best way to learn is to go out and try them

Did you watch the ollie trick tip with Aaron Reed?

http://www.wakeskating.com/showarticle.php?a=70

It is more of a weight distrubtion than a snap like on a skateboard, but you can still drag your foot. Most beginners just use the weight distribution method to get in the air, but will work towards more of a skateboard ollie as they get more comfortable.

try using fins if ur squirling. and try keein the weight even on ur heels and toes. some skateboarders habitually load all the weight on their toes
