wakeskating isn't about getting sponsored or trying to be the best. everyone is noticed for what they bring to wakeskating. like BT's style, aaron reeds insane pop off the wake, beer and women.

Oh and one more thing, you need to care less about getting sponsored. It helps if you love doing it, but you know what? It's not really necessary.

start ripping and compete in contests cuz it gives you a good idea of where you stand amidst other riders. or if you could get some dope footage in a video or magazine that helps, but until then why would anyone want to sponsor you? gotta get that name out otherwise in a sponsor's eyes there's no point. if you ride good but are an a-hole and don't do anything with you life then i sure as hell wouldnt wont to sponsor you. basically sponsorship=business, so if you dont want business crap into your wakeskating then dont deal with it. some people decide it's a route they want to take, but it's happened in skateboarding: sponsorship became like a normal step of progression and something that is never questioned and is just seen as inevitable, which is pretty messed up in my eyes. it's not all free gear and cheap women.
