alright so i have a few questions on a rail alright so last night we stole a bunch of wood and wanna make a rail... it cant be permanant but we dont wanna float it... itll be used on our beach with a winch that is about 2 feet deep water were thinking of an up flat rail anout 32 feet long but what is the best way to keep it stable like support wise yaknow??? suggestions and help would be great

irideLF, search for the rail plans that nick taylor posted. it seems alot of people on here have used it and really like it. it's "semi" perminent i guess.

it doesnt have to be permanant if its in 2 ft of water. if u have ONLY the legs in the water that hold the rail up, the wieght from the trex decking will hold it down, i used 2x4s for legs and they just sit on the bottom. now yes they will sink in a little but mines been there for months and i could totally go move it riht now if i needed very easy. just make sure when u make ur flat top for the rail u put some trex because that wieght will make it not float
