Wow I was very disapointed at what i saw at the tour today some guys were falling on butter slides to shuvvit out and shuvvit to butter slide, like the best stuff was kickflips and big spins, only 2 people landed kickflips well I think Danny Hampson did one and I know Tim Kovacich landed one. |

also remember that some guys aren't going to be throwing out their hardest stuff until the finals. And the tricks in wakeskate videos may not have been landed in one shot..some may have taken ten tries before they got that particular trick. And with this tour comp, you have three falls and then you're done. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

Congrats to Danny Molina on that sick kickflip and making it to finals!
I'm personally glad to see alot of new riders making it to finals, after all, a repeat of last year would get kind of old. _________________ .:Wake UP Films:.

yeah i was there today and was alittle disapointed but i guess i was only seein 'semi-final' riding...what i did like was some of the kids who came out that i hadnt ever heard who were just killing it...thats what wakeskating is all about and im glad that it doesnt seem like there are alot of politics associated with the sport yet. if these kids were equally talenented in wakeboarding and were to compete against the pros, in the past they would be judged poorly and not even make it to the semi's. but maybe this is what the whole new 'elite' format is about _________________ "it is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation." |
