Hey, ive seen people posting stuff on making a winch out of there pocket bike, using the back rim as a spool. I was wondering if anybody actually got it to work, i would really appreciate any feedback as i would like to try it myself because i really dont have the funds to make a winch. Pictures would be great as well, Thanks alot. |

On www.winchskating.com there are a group of guys that are making the lightest winch possible. I believe they are making it with a pocket bike moter and it is going to be something you can carry on your back like a backpack. I could be wrong tho, TheLeprechaun would know more, since he is god of winchin. I think hes helping making it too. _________________ ~ www.integrity-wake.com ~ www.iwinchglobal.com ~ |

Its just a normal pocket bike motor...49cc....nothing big, i mean i dont expect it to pull me out of the water..but maybe a dock start etc...Bike does like 40 mph on the road, but im not sure if it will have the torq to pull. |

mxguy14, yea the reason most people dont use pocket and dirt bikes normally is because if utilizes high rpms which really isnt great for our purpose... i know pirate winch uses a 150 cc engine and we are trying to get a pocket winch built using a 80 cc engine... its all about gearing... i would try it and if the bike dosnt pull you alone you could try pulling out the engine and playing with the gearing to get it right... lemme know how it goes _________________ Nothin better than Wakeskating and Motocross!

Yeah im not quite sure what to expect, maybe just try some different sprockets to get a little more torq. Also ive been looking around for rope to use because im usiing a pocket bike, i dont have money for expensive rope so ive been thinking just for the test of this thing, i could pick up this rope.. http://www.qcsupply.com/Products/3065.aspx
hopefully it works, would be awesome if it does...but hey again if anyone has tryed it and got it to work, let me know, thanks |

mxguy14, I used a pocket bike spool b/c it is a small light drum for a winch weight annd gearing help the acelleration but my motor iss 200cc on production models although the 150 prototype has still had no issues with being underpowered to date _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |
