Loved the catalyst 2.0, same shape as 05/06 byerly, but a little bit wider. I compared side to side to the 05 today. Love the simple graphics. I also rode the Legacy. Crazy feel to it, not a bad feel just different! I come from a surfing backgroung, not a skateboarding one, so the board felt funny to me. Super high kicktails and deep concave. Whereas the 2.0 feels much more like a surfboard to me, higher on the water w/ rounder rails.

I found that the 2.0 fliped/spun smoother than the legacy. The legacy wobbled a bit, but it could be that my feet were not positioned correctly on the tails.

One thing about the legacy that I didn't like was that it was too fat to fit into my board racks. Its lighter than it looks and super wider.

Both boards were sick on the rail.

I ended up buying the 2.0, liked them both, but it is the board for me.

Any questions about either, just ask.

I've ridden the catalyst 2.0 aswell, loved it!! I like it much better than the regular catalyst behing the PWC. I too have a surfing background and you're accurate in the desription.

I wasn't able to try it on a rail though.

conwest, I'm not going to give my opinion on the Legacy because opinions are like cornholes... Everybody's got one.

Best advice I can give anyone about that board is ride it before you buy it!

The pop was pretty good. about the same as the 2.0. I found that the wake to wake leverage was better than the actual pop in the flats. Ollie's in the flats on the legacy, though better felt close to the karma board because your feet are in a different position.

One thing about the legacy's pop was that the landings were very smooth because of the thickness of the deck, the bi-level design.

conwest, oh god lool. i was going to say since your riding a flat deck either 2 things are going to happen lol

1. your going to poping sky high and ask what youve been doing before

2. your going to feel so weird because of massive concave and kicktails

lol

i rode the 2.0 and i felt it dragged a little, when i had my feet in my normal riding position i felt like i wasnt getting much pop. then again i ride an integrity that rides pretty high on the water, is a lot thinner, and the prekicks help alot. but i didnt like the ride of it, just felt really weird to me.

As you all know: Catalyst '07 = Byerly '06
but check this:

The Byerly is a good skate, for sure.
I have an Integrity Lemons and an 06 HL Byerly.
But I prefer my Integrity ten times better !
