Haha, just wanted to have a thread for it and maybe have a look back at now, and see if what we thought was possible.........is.

For example, I'm calling an invert by then..........back roll. It seems everything else is on the verge. This sport f*ing rocks.

i heard somebody has done a backroll or something. i guess no one really has respect for inverts.

There is a guy in Germany who rides cable who is said to have done a railey with two skates. One for takeoff and landing on the other which he was carrying...

Haven't seen it done but I have seen him ride and he is a bit of a machine Shocked

Raven, BACK ROLL, or back roll to revert will be done before August i'd say.....

part of it was just the idea of trying to get away from the "wakeboard-y" style (like why some people weren't hyped on inverts)...like to take advantage of being unattached, as opposed to doing some trick you could do while on a wakeboard.

Of course, the other side of the coin is that it's hard to do an invert (and thus, respectable) because you DON'T have bindings.

Ultimately, it depends who you talk to. me personally? I'm not horribly interested, but of course, everyone sets their own boundaries and goals and needs something different to challenge themselves. Whether something is cool or not (and I"m not saying either way), sometimes the boundaries need to be tested anyway.

anyway, some kid went upside down with a handle on his board, it looks like VELCRO might help as well (check out the ad, people!!), and I think brandon was doing a sort of board transfer-invert type thing. I think it's in the second issue of alliance wakeskate...like if that's accessible right now. But yeah, he's done something...the myth was dispelled!

And if you look at some older videos, thomas was goofing around in "boardumb" off of one of his PVC creations and failed on a front roll, and brian grubb tried one in boombox (I think).

IF YOU hate on a back roll your gay..... Basically anything w2w is bad ass, If you cant respect the fact that someone went upside down on a board that isn't strapped on, Or just the simple fact that you cant "get behind" the ideo of someone taking something someone else has already done and one upping it.

lighten up pirate, because nobody said they wouldn't get behind a backroll (and the examples I used were quite old and dated). Do your homework and you'll understand thomas' idea behind his style of wakeskating, and why he was super hyped on the lip trick movement vs. the circa 1998 talk surrounding the topic "who's going to be the first to do an invert?"

Anyway, some people are just hyped on street skating and that sort of style (I keep repeating to myself "we want to pop it and catch it" like the gonz in super champion fun zone). But there are people that are hyped on vert or whatever, and and I'm sure they'll totally relate to the invert thing (because you know, vert skaters can get MAD inverted). Whatever floats your boat, yo. Right now, i enjoy looking at the wake as glorified street transitions, but they're out there for everyone and they're open for interpretation.

i think it should move in the way of street skateboarding. i dont see inverts in that. so i dont wanna do it on my skate.
