I think those would make the board track really funny. But you should post an update. you know, let us know how she shreds.

They did that on the premiere for the last two years and I scoffed. But that's only because I'm a jerk. But they (the ribs) will be sweet for those frontside airs...grab it!

Ohh, oh my god. You should see burton's base graphic for next year...I think it's the dominant? I can't remember exactly. Anyway, it looks like the bottom of a skateboard, but instead of doing the truck and wheel jahb (since noah salasnek owned that shizzle in the early 90s, as did andy hetzel at one point) they did a view similar to the one in your second picture. it's cool and funny, all at the same time.

EDIT: since that's an old board, it's probably not a big deal. But one thing to think about might be the holes you're drilling...that's like six new spots where the core can be exposed to water and could potentially delam the board after time.

i did it once on a old flat deck with some uhmw strips (plastic) I was trying to make a sort of channel thingy. I foud putting anything below the board line has a huge effect (like a fin)as compared to machining or making a channel that is sunk into the board.
It was great for shredding but to turn it sideways on the lip you better where a mouthpiece and a helmet. j/k It was glued though. W2W madness.

LET US KNOW!!

I love the way your thinking though. OUTside the box.

Thanks for the encouragement, I thought for sure it was gonna be "Scoff Fest 07". We will see, I might take them off before I try it though. electricsnow, I was thinkin about the grabing earlier, re-entry frontside airs tweaked Gonz style Cool. And yeah it is an old board, if you look close I have 4-trac style holes on both ends, so I wasn't worried about the holes. But it is my "Daily Driver" board and I've had the 4-Trac holes on the front for months now and no problem from them yet.

Yeah i was with Jesse when it went down. Lipslides seemed to be out of the question. But the cable could be fun.
