I need help using photoshop, how do you make pictures black and white? Also how do you put pictures together in one pic.

Is it CS cuz it shoudl have a walk through if it is, if its not just mess around you will figure it out, try the color balance first off. just mess around it gets easy, its just hard at first.

Paint sucks, photoshop is an awesome program if you know how to use it.

to make it black and white you need to change it under i think edit or somthing. Ill post somthing up in a bit...

to put alot of pictures together chose either the 1 I highlighted or 2 to crop the image then make an other window and drag them into it. If not talk to Matt French on this site. He is insane at photoshop.

You do NOT need to put the image into grayscale mode to make it black and white! Go to Image>Adjustments>Desaturate or press Ctrl-Shift-U

i heart photoshop.

and hate it at the same time.

sometimes i look at the clock and 5 hours went bye and im doing the pee pee dance at the computer.

xboard32x, I have to disaggree with your method for making a picture black and white... Your way makes the whole files mode Greyscale, so you can't put colour in it at all after that unless you swap back...

An easier way is to go "Image"-"Adjustments"-"Desaturate"

Personally I like to use the Channels Mixer for turning images into Black and white. It breaks down the RGB into monochrome-red, blue, and green. Thus allowing you to pick out the image channel that has the best contrast.
