The colors aren't final yet, so if anyone has a better idea shoot it at me. Anything that isn't white means something (brands, initials, zip, area code,). The background will be black.

i think it should be more personalized. instead of just names of companies. or at least maybe the logos. i think you skate might look like a book like that..but its totally your skate and aside from lemmings sometimes its good to be different.
im thinking about stenciling mine. so lets hear how you like it.

| i honestly absolutely hate when people spray paint company names on their boards. i dont mind if a person is sponsored by them or actually has some sort of affiliation but otherwise its just like somebody is trying to look cool.

| Mr. Top Hat, that's valid unless you have ANY kind of sticker on your automobile. if so then your point is moot.

The only sticker he has on his truck is one that says "Yes". He made it himself, and he was supposed to make me one as well, but he hasn't yet... waiting. I want it when I'm down there tophat.

Personally i don't like the graphic at all but i'll tell you what i think could make it better.
have more spacing... between EVERYTHING. It's really very crowded, use one repeated border as opposed to a bunch of different styles, have the borders colors, nothing dramatic, just something soft. Also i don't know if you're really set on that font because it's easiest to make stencils of, but you might want to consider changing that. The characters in between colored words could be smaller and more meaningful somehow. Random symbols don't quite do the trick. I agree with tophat on the company names thing.. try maybe repeating something more personal i guess, unless you just don't care, like JamesBoardr said, it IS your board. These are just some suggestions i wanted to throw at you.
Moot. heh.

| I'm not sure I understand why you would want to do that unless your sponsored by those companies.

| Its a good idea, but a white background and softer colors like wat Slapdown, did looks alot better.

Frye, thank you. i can actually get you your sticker once school starts again, just remind me.
urinal mint, i hope to have one more sticker on my truck soon, it reads "Clapton is God" in really big letters. i have never heard of that brand before and i also made it myself so my earlier points still stand.
i also feel that there is a difference between stencils and stickers. stickers can directly support a company if they are bought. most kids that make stencils usually dont care enough to give money to companys for a sticker but they still want to look cool and have the company name on something they own.

| I would have to say that I agree with Mr. Top Hat, . If there is a company that you want to support then the least that you could do is drop a few bucks and buy a sticker from them. If your reason for painting the logo on there is because it the sticker wont stay on which is a problem that I have had in the past then spay some clear lacquer over it and that will keep it on there.

small chance you haven't but have you ever downloaded music? if you have then you're pursuing the same tactic that the OP is.
not really trying to open a whole new can of worms or anything. i'm just bored i guess.

by stealing music you are not either supporting a company or trying to look cool. i actually dont even see how the two things relate to each other at all.
any other attempts at trying to invalidate my opinions?

stickers are usually given to shops for free by brands that they stock so if you buy a sticker the shop gets the money(not a bad thing), if you support a company enough to stencil their name on your stuff then they should be stoked that it cost them no money. some companies have stencils come with their shizzle or have stencils you can cut out yourself.
