Chris41, is right, belt sanders work perfect for fiberglass fins...

Ok, so I sanded them down with my cheapo sander. A belt sander would def work better. but mine worked good other then the sander base is soft and this creates a rounded fin. So i busted out the dremel and was able to clean them up a bit, but they aren't perfect. the hardest part was getting them to sit flush on the board, I got them pretty close. I've ridden wakeboards with fins that are worse than this so I'm not to worried about it. I may hand sand them a little more to clean them up even more....
Although messy, it was good little project and I'm glad I did it.
Oh and the dremel kept slipping, so thats why the sides of the fins look a little jacked
here is the pics-

| RUSSIAN, i was just wondering why you ground down from the bottom rather than the top on your integ fins, i was thinking of grinding mine down too and wanted to know what you thought

| I wanted to keep the shape of the fin. I figured it would have been easier to just sand the bottom then try to reshape the fin...

all you gotta do is flip a belt sander upside down and turn it on. then run the fin along the spinning sandpaper. then use a dremel tool to fine tune. voila!
chris b- if you arent gonna use those gator fins i ground down for you then i want them back. i wanna put them on my tnt deck.
be careful when buying aluminum fins because they probably wont fit the contour of the bottom of the board. with ordinary fiberglass fins you can grind them down to fit the deck better, but with aluminum youre effed if its not right.
