Thats what I'm talking about. I'm guessing there is no chance in hell that it'll be free - Which I would have no problem with. I also wouldn't have any problems paying the small fee for Alliance. (If it were easy to get a hold of here) _________________

O.K., no, it's not too late to send anything, a large % of the magazine is designed to be created by rider submissions and photos. If I'm planning on doing one for Dec. or Jan. I will need more submissions. I hope to have the site up by the end of the week and I will update weekly about what's shaping up with the mag and have previews of the issues that are under construction. I hope to be able to receive enough advertising to distribute in limited areas free for a while like Alliance did and then charge for subscriptions. I'm sure that if we receive the opportunity to make this a real magazine and charge $3 an issue we will, but I don't want to have the mag. over-run with adds like some are. I posted somewhere else that I was reading a mag and over 65% of it was adds. The adds pay the bills, but a mag should add more content to compensate. I'm not saying that I'm going to be the messiah of magazines, but I'm still positive about what I want to accomplish and I know there will be some give and take. My main concern is creating a Wakeskate only magazine that's easy for riders to obtain, is something that they really want to read, and progresses the sport positively.
I side-tracked a little, sorry. It had to be said. Anyway, I will publish the first issue on-line 100% and print enough copies to send to companies like Cassette, Sea-Doo, Yamaha, Mutiny, Kampus, ect. So that they can see and hopefully advertise. If they do then issue 2 and 3 might be a special order thing and then next summer we might be able to operate some-what like a real magazine. I have some really good and interesting things for this first issue, lots of lesser known rider profiles, an article with the creators of the "Winch," and some stuff about Wakeskating over seas. I'll post the address of the site once it's up, hopefully by the end of the week. |
