As far as reading goes, my favorite is Illusions by Richard Bach, it has a lot to do with the kind of stuff we talk about, I know you'd enjoy it. The Alchemist, I can't remember who it's by, some Spanish guy, but it's really good too.
Coheed & Cambria for life.
To progress your wakeskating without being able to ride, watch Volume 2, Sfumato, or any really good wakeskate video and learn not just the board motions, but how their bodies move with the rope and feet and shoulders...etc.
But seriously, read Illusions. _________________ √ |

For Books, I really dig Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451"... For Music I really dig AFI's new album... But I have always loved AFI... if you want some chill music you should deffinatly listen to The Decemberists...thats an aquired taste tho... Modest Mouse is always good for chilling too... and guitar-wise Quantice Never Crashed is my favorite... as for movies I really dig "Blow"... "Fight Club"... and I heard "Thumb sucker" was super good... If you want really fizzle up movies... "Kids" and "Bully" are freaking unreal... but I hate "Gummo"... Anyway sorry if you hate everything from my list... I hope your arm gets better bruh... everyone likes a swift recovery
Oh... and science/philosophical books/topics... Any book on Plato is sweet, I also find the Chaos theory to be interesting (although i dont know much at all...) as well a Quantum Physics and how can you forget the Space/time continuum hahaha... all that shizzle is so crazy to understand... at least for me... but its fun to look at if you have time to kill. sorry again if its lame. _________________ No Falls - No Balls |

i second the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy series. the only book(s) that have actually made me laugh out loud, and even when i look back on it sometimes i will start chuckling. if you like suspense books check out deception point by dan brown (author of da vinci code). clockwork orange is a classic. the chocolate war is also pretty good (one of those books you read in school). another thing you might want to look into is "acquiring" a CAD program, or paint shop pro, photoshop, or some other extensive program that takes forever to learn and veg out on that... probably what id do if i were out of comission for a while (i can sit on autoCAD for hours)...
also, for music, check out "minus the bear" theyre chill music/rock with a lot of samples and computer generated sounds/music, probably be pretty good music when youre under the influence of your pain medication if youre pickin up what im puttin down. also check out circa survive they remind me of "at the drive-in" if youre familiar with them (if not, you should check them out as well), same genre youd put "thursday" in (punk/emo? but not cry cry cry emo), and also horse the band, theyre punk/hardcore/rock but with techno-esque beats/sounds/keyboard but not overboard by anymeans. the best way to describe it is "nintendo-core" as my buddy calls it. if you like hardcore or punk even a little bit you'd probably enjoy them. i generally really dislike keyboards and stuff with punk or hardcore but i really like this band.
you can find samples of all those bands on cdnow.com im sure.
oh and if youre into science fiction and/or like movies that make you think definately check out "Donnie Darko" its a pretty crazy movie. |

Dered, You mentioning philosophy reminded me. A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking. Incredible. Might make your brain hurt though. |

xboard32x, arm went through the handle while testing out a new kicker, tore every muscle from my shoulder to my wrist. my bicep is basically on my inner elbow right now and theres some other muscle poking out somewhere on my forearm(theres pics in another thread that show the bruising). not too many good stories lately unless you want to hear about my expireiences with morphine and other happiness inducing pills. |

che blanc, I really have to second The Alchemist... It is an awsome read by a south american writer, Paolo Coelho. Talks about the meaning of life, very important when your hurt
and yeah dragon quest being an RPG you only need one hand that's why _________________

s34n, I second Strange Brew and Super Troopers. I like watching weird movies. For example Thumbsucker. There was also the Weatherman that when i watched it i thought it was horrible, looking back it wasnt so bad. I also like It's all gone Pete Tong. Its a pretty cool flick. |
