I am probably going to get the chsnce to work with super 8 cameras (like the ones justin stephens uses) this year and was wondering if anybody else knew what you have to do to get the film processed. My teacher told me that you had to get it sent away, but would any film shop be able to do it? |

Justin Stevens uses 16mm and some high frame rate camera. Attention Deficit used super 8 in Sfumato. Yeah, you can try Wal-Mart but, yes, there is definitely a good possiblity they will mess it up. Try this page:
http://www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/s8mm/labs.jhtml
and enter your information and it will bring up a list of super 8 specific labs in your area. |

No, you should just be able to capture it via firewire. After all, it's only film. _________________ Wakeboarding for Life!!! |

Walmart cannot process Super8mm film. If they take it from you they will send it to Kodak. There are very few labs around the country that actually develop the super8mm film themselves. Most place you take it, it will have to be sent out. Then after Kodak develops the film you have to have telecine done to transfer it to mini-dv or what ever format you specify. If you don't have it transfered then it comes back to you as a reel of film to play in a projector. _________________ www.brettbrinkerhoff.com |

You're from Ontario, try Henry's, they're in Toronto, Aurora, Markham, all over the place. Pretty sure they do film conversion. We used to use super 8, it makes it look like its 1950, just be carefull you don't expose the film or all that work is toast. |
