Ive been thinking about this lately and here's what my conclusion is.
I'm not going to ride as much of the pro tour as I thought I was. I know its cool for some people But it just doesn't seem right to me. I was think about how lame it is to fly a bajillion miles to ride for 45 seconds. Instead I'll be riding more of the "CORE" contest, Like the Hippodome and Wakestock. I'm still going to ride atlanta and Reno but thats it......
What do you guys think. I would rather spend my money to go somewhere and ride with people who TRULY care about the progresion of wakeskating, and not just a sideshow during the WAKEBOARD contest.
Im not taking anything away from any of you who are going to ride the tour (im actually helping laundry out. ) its just not for me i dont think. |

PIRATE, flying everywhere for 45 second runs seems foolish, i agree. that is unless you can meet up with a local group of riders at each stop, and ride a lot before and after tour stop. soy's idea is probably way more fun though, that is getting to ride in warm water with a good group of friends. _________________ integrity-wake.com | chriscut.com

I just think there's more heart in contest like Hippodome, toejam, b-top brodown and all that. You know what i meen ?????? at least at the tj and hippo....... you get to ride boat, ski, and winch that seems way more worth it to me.
soy escuala, it gets up to 128 degrees at my house....... |

what you really need is a wakeskating.com tour, like norcal convergence, just blown up...
a stop in the east coast (florida/georgia)... midwest (texas or whatever)... west (arizona/cali) |

| I'm not not doing comps I'm just not doing the whole pwt. Im going to go to certain contest that are more centered around "wakeskating." And not wakeboard comps that have wakeskating in them. |

or you could look at it as representing your sponsors by riding the pro tour. sponsors are going to like to see you guys ride as many comps as possible. however i think it is safe to say that the core comps will be more fun, and if you have to choose pick the ones that best support our scene.
with that said i started planning this years blast and brodeo. i will keep you guys posted on the progress. and pirate, hope to see you here this year. |
