hey just went out. i took out my element (ya stussy, enjois have pretty bad flippage). and i seem to be landing my kickflips for the first time. i landed like 5 today... BUT- i always seem to do a 180 body varial (frontside) or make the board do a varial flip (backside). or something in between. i know its kinda better to be landing varial flips, but id like to land them on purpose any ideas on how to keep myself and the board straight? thanks

i have never heard of that problem but it sounds like you have to kick straight out an jump up and forward. I dont know what else could be doing that. _________________ Can't eat at McDonald's every day - Shannon Hoon |

Or maybe varial flips and sex changes are the natrul thing fro you to do. People i konw can do varial flips all day but cant kick flip. BUt maybe as your taking your back foot off your bumping it into the start of a shuvit or something. _________________ Llamas are better then Alpacas

my friend had that problem and i just told him to keep his feet a certain way. it helps. i dont know how to show you tho. just like put your feet in regular ollie stance with half of your foot hanging off( heel) then do a regular ollie but right when your foot reaches the nose flick it really hard like your trying to pop your ankle strtaigt off the side of the nose. bring a friend along and say everytime i dont land this smack me. it really does help. |

seems like it would be a frontside flip. if the board is doing a varial flip and your body does a 180. but think about it. your not gonna be able to do that down 8 stairs. or 10. or proably even 3 for that matter. _________________ 407-212-7425 |

no. i cant quite do the varial flip AND the body varial. either both of em half way, or one of em fully. i can pretty much control which one i do now, and the bodyvarial is much easier.
