the bindings are shizzle, and they use non-standard 8 hole mounts. I have heard that last comment you made (step up..) so many times its not funny. Why should I switch over? Because you, or anyone else, told me to? hell no man. I'll stick with the sport I love.

hey man, do what you love. thats all cool, just dont hate when other people (or line in this matter) does move on. theyre just doing what is best for them as a company and what they want to do.
I too will pass on the monoboard. I've always wanted to try telemarking. Maybe ill start teleskiboarding. It will be all the rage.
I also think this topic might need to be split again.

WOW! It's good that you base your informaiton on the hear-say you gather from a SKI SHOP. Sorry s34n. You're a good guy, and we all like you, but I have to say that your oppinion is well off the mark.
Burton is rider owned, and they love to ride. Trust me! Also, I don't understand how Burton buying FourStar makes them not rider owned? They bought rider owned companies and kept them as such.
Peace out!

jonnyUTAH, hey as I said, its my opinion. Burton is fizzle huge, so it just doesn't seem like some small rider owned feeling anymore. Even before that buyout thing that i heard about in our SKI SHOP that sells BURTON SNOWBOARDS, it gave me that opinion. I am a skier though, and only know some stuff about snowboarding because a few friends do. I never said, "these are the facts, so f you all". To me, burton just doesnt seem like your typical rider owned company. I guess you cant blame them for beign sucessful though

It's all good...... I suppose people could get that impression about Burton, but honestly, it's not the case (as far as I'm concerned).
They are a big company which has, and continues, to keep it real.
Word!

It is definately true that they're rider driven.
Unfortunately, without some sort of break down of ownership, we're not going to know if they are truly rider owned. I like to believe that Jake is still the majority share holder of the company; in which case, it's rider owned.
So, in order to put this topic to rest, we'll have to just wait until the next board meeting..........ha!
Peace!
