I landed a hardflip today.Ok I have a sony video camra . It has I think like digital 8 tapes. You can put videos on the computer using a USB streaming cord but ive tried with other videos before and couldnt get it to work. will someone like briefly go over what you do. Do you need any editing software?

thanks nick, I look in the book that came with the camera, and could not find firewire. What exactly is it? Like a cord? I suck at computers

firewire is a cable like usb but about 25 times faster. in all reality you dont have a firewire port on your comp and you probably dont have a firewire cable for you cam so i would stick with your usb cable. what exactly is the problem? you cant get the stuff to transfer to your comp? if so try to go to sony's website and download the latest drivers for your cam

ben ray, sometimes you have to set the cam to transfer or upload mode. so i would read the manual or look online for what exactly to do to put stuff on your comp

All I have windows 98, with no editing softwear. Injust mailed a sponsor video to innerlight surf and skate. So when I get the tape back ill just add the hardflip to the video and mail it to someone, if anyone volenteers? Then they can put it up. Laughing PM me your adress.

ben ray,
I may have already asked you, but where in Fairhope do you live? I'll be in Fairhope off and on this summer. Props on the hardflip and looking forward to seeing the video. You need to make a trip to Fish River and hit some of the rails I've built. It's only like 15min from town.
