How thick did you make it? I useally use 3 sheets of Birch-triplex 4mm thick so it is only 12mm thick but its strong enough to make even the biggest jumps without breaking

it's really difficult to make it completely symetrical, I think you won't notice a thing while riding it, you can ride practicaly anything that can float, so good luck.
